After doing his Masters in Interactive narrative @ NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program, John Benton began his writing career when HBO developed his original series LIVE ACTION in 2001. He worked on this with two brilliant writers, Lou Berger and Robert Benton. While the show never made it to production, working with these other writers was a magical introduction to the craft.
He has co written a screen adaptation for the cult comic, LOVE & ROCKETS, which is in development with Likely Story
In 2008 He received a Film Independent grant for his script, BUST, co written with Alexandra Brodsky
His latest screenplay is called THE MUSIC OF SOUND.
